Churchville Nature Center is a unique place for education, preservation, and conservation.

Churchville Nature Center is a facility of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, and is an area rich with diversity. The contrasting environments of meadow, marsh, woodland, pond and lake are all within an easy walk. The Churchville Nature Center welcomes people of all ages … for study, acti…ve exploration and contemplation.

The Center had its beginnings in 1964, with its headquarters in an old farmhouse. Later in 1976, the facilities were expanded to include a modern visitor center, which houses an auditorium, exhibit area, gift shop, staff offices and a nature library.

Along with the visitor center, the grounds also include 2 miles of nature trails, a bird observation blind, wildlife gardens and re-created 1500’s era Lenape Indian Village.


Peace Valley Nature Center

Peace Valley offers 14 miles of nature trails in the woods and meadows at the eastern end of Lake Galena. The walking options vary from groomed foot paths near the Nature Center Solar Building to remote hiking trails in the mature woods. The foot paths are generally mowed or graveled and provided with bridges or stone steps at creek crossings. The Hike & Bike Path is a blacktop trail continuing around the lake on Creek Road and New Galena Road. These trails thread through areas rich with life.
